The majority of our funding comes from public donations. We need to train, equip ourselves, maintain and purchase vehicles and look after our two bases.

In addition to donations, for the last few years the Scottish Government has made a small amount of grant aid available to all mountain rescue teams in Scotland.

Additionally, team members give talks and attend local events. The Order of St John in Scotland are also long-term supporters of mountain rescue and we are grateful to them for their continued support.

Fundraising involves almost as much of our team member's time as training and rescues. All this is done on a voluntary basis and we are extremely grateful to the support we get from those we rescue, the mountaineering community and wider public.
